$12.2 Trillion Is on the Docket
Executive Order 14330 put alternative assets on the 401(k) docket. Thirteen months later the proposed rule is dated 31 March, $12.2 trillion is still in those plans, and a second draft targets the part that moves data between chips.͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏

The 2026 Wealth Protection Playbook
On August 7th President Trump signed Executive Order #14330.

For the first time ever, Americans will soon be able to hold precious metals (like gold & silver) inside 401(k)s.

That means more than $12 trillion in retirement savings could soon start flowing into the precious-metals market, creating one of the largest wealth shifts in modern history.

Since the announcement, gold prices have soared from $3,400 to over $4,000 per ounce, a 17% jump in just months.

And the momentum may just be getting started.

Once the order takes effect in 2026, J.P. Morgan believes the demand could send gold prices toward $6,000 per ounce.

Billionaire investor Ray Dalio now recommends keeping 10–15% of your portfolio in gold to protect against inflation, debt, and market volatility.

To help investors stay ahead of the curve, Cedar Gold Group released the 2026 Wealth Protection Playbook
— a free guide revealing a little-known strategy for buying and storing gold BEFORE this executive order takes effect.

(Yes, this works with 401(k), IRA, TSP, 403(b), or even cash.)

When the 401(k) floodgate opens, being in on gold early could make all the difference.
The 2026 Wealth Protection Playbook
Don't wait. With demand accelerating after this executive order, waiting could cost you.
Sincerely,

Cedar Gold Group

What Executive Order 14330 Put on the Docket
On 7 August 2025 the president signed Democratizing Access to Alternative Assets for 401(k) Investors. It hit the Federal Register five days later. The assets named in the text include private securities, commodities, real estate, digital assets and insurance products. Commodities is the line that puts metal on the same docket as private paper.
The Secretary of Labor had 180 days to reexamine what a plan fiduciary may offer, to look again at a 2021 statement that had warned plans off private equity, and to coordinate with the SEC and Treasury. More than 90 million Americans save through those employer plans. The menu they see is narrower than the one available to a public pension or a taxable account above the accredited line.
The order and what followed
Labor rescinded the 2021 statement within a week. The larger piece arrived on 31 March 2026 as a proposed rule built around process-based safe harbours: a fiduciary who follows a defined set of steps when adding alternative assets gets a defined shield from later second-guessing.
That is the window the market has been trading since August. Gold ran from about $3,400 around the signing toward $4,000-plus. The $12.2 trillion in defined-contribution plans has not changed menus yet. The docket has.
A separate court file sits on the same desk. In Anderson v. Intel the Ninth Circuit let claims over private equity inside a target-date fund survive an early motion. The Supreme Court took the case on 26 January. The standard a fiduciary is held to will be written in two buildings at once.
How Metal Gets Into a Retirement Account While the Menu Is Being Rewritten
The 401(k) menu is the file Labor is writing. A different account already has a statute for the metal itself.
Section 408(m) treats collectibles as prohibited inside an IRA, then carves out bullion of a stated fineness. Gold at .995, silver at .999, platinum and palladium at .9995 qualify, along with American Eagle coins, if a trustee or approved depository holds the metal.
Custody is the line that decides the tax year. In the 2021 McNulty case the Tax Court treated IRA coins in a home safe as a distribution. The same ounce is tax-deferred in a depository and taxable in a closet.
A direct transfer, custodian to custodian, is not a taxable event and has no annual cap. The sixty-day rollover through your own hands is allowed once in twelve months across all IRAs. A 401(k) from a former employer moves the same way. A current employer’s plan still runs on the sponsor’s menu — the menu the March proposal is written to widen.

Retirement to Gold
President Trump signed Executive Order #14330
— a sweeping change that could forever alter retirement accounts, including millions of 401(k)s.
Retirement to Gold
For the first time ever, physical precious metals like gold are being formally opened to retirement portfolios.

Once the order takes effect in 2026, J.P. Morgan projects a massive wave of demand could send gold prices toward $6,000 per ounce.

That means you can beat the rush to gold, while preserving the full tax advantages of your account starting today.

With Executive Order #14330 now signed, the timing has never been clearer:

Gold prices are up 51% in 2025 J.P. Morgan forecasts gold hitting $6,000/oz

Billionaire hedge fund manager Ray Dalio now recommends a 10-15% gold allocation for all investment portfolios

If you want to capitalize on this trend, we've created a free guide that explains how to buy physical gold with your 401(k), IRA, or other retirement account.

The Cheapest Part in the Data Centre Is the One Washington Is Writing Rules About
A second file, from a different agency, turns on a component most people have never named.
An optical transceiver converts an electrical signal into light and back, so data can travel over fibre between switches, servers and racks. They are among the most numerous active parts in any large facility. They cost a fraction of the chips they serve. The market is about $26 billion.
One supplier, a quarter of the world
Reuters reported on 4 August that the FCC is drafting a ban on imports of new models of Chinese-made optical transceivers for American data centres. Officials cited data theft, malware and service disruption, and said they wanted the text published before year-end, in force on publication.
The legal route is the FCC Covered List for equipment authorisation — not the Commerce chip-export file. New models. Installed base left alone.
The rule nobody has published
The largest Chinese supplier holds about 27% of the global market. Analysts put the share of AI data-centre module supply touched by such a rule at around 60%. Coherent and Lumentum would need twelve to twenty-four months to scale.
The Western substitute sits on indium phosphide, which China put under export permits in February 2025. The replacement still depends on a permit from the supplier it is meant to replace.
That is the same method as the chip controls, one layer down: police the connector, not the headline product. Officials want the file out this year.

The Component Nobody Watches
President Trump is going to war with China.

Not a hot war with bombers, drones, and boots on the ground, but a new type of economic war that’s going to have massive consequences both here in the U.S. and abroad.

His administration is drafting a ban on Chinese components inside American data centers. The ban isn’t on chips or software though – it’s targeting a tiny, unglamorous part almost nobody pays attention to.

But it’s this component that moves data through every AI facility.

Officials want the ban published this year because they know the AI war is a zero sum game and whoever is first to AGI (artificial general intelligence) will take all the spoils.

This is just part of the story though.

And it’s all downstream of a shocking new economic doctrine.

A doctrine written by a highly controversial Silicon Valley CEO that has been adopted at the highest level of this government, and never once explained to the American public.

It changes what a "safe" stock is.

It changes which companies get protected and which get sacrificed.

And it is already rewriting the rules of investing while most people argue about politics.

In this new interview, legendary financial analysts Porter Stansberry and Luke Lango laid out the full story – including the money moves you need to make ahead of this radical economic shift.
The Component Nobody Watches
Don’t be left behind.

Watch it now while you can.

What is Scheduled
Oct
the next Fed meeting. Markets price roughly an even chance of another increase after last week’s first rise since 2023.
3 Nov
the midterm elections.
31 Dec
tax-year close for gifts, Roth conversions and required withdrawals, and the date officials named for the transceiver rule.
Two dockets, two agencies, one method. Name the chokepoint. Write the file against it. The $12.2 trillion and the $26 billion module market are already pricing the files that exist.

Thirteen Months, One Proposed Rule
$12.2tn
in defined-contribution plans on the docket EO 14330 opened in August 2025. Labor’s proposed rule is dated 31 March. Commodities are named in the order. The IRA custody path for bullion already exists for anyone who wants the metal before a plan sponsor rewrites a menu.
Forget the hot picks — protect what you’ve already built, and read the docket the headline is written against. Because the best trade you’ll ever make is the loss you never took.
